Where? London
So last week, I was woken by a text from friends regarding a very spontaneous trip to London to sight -see! As uni had finished and I didn't start work till the following week, I thought why the hell not.
We got up pretty early to catch the Oxford Tube to Victoria but spent 2 hours getting there, forgetting that everyone else still has to go to work and London traffic is no joke but we arrived, sun shining and hungry as ever. Our first stop was Buckingham Palace, which was unexpectedly rammed all round because of a march taking place. After this, we took a short walk through a park which right now I'm stuck for the name!
We took a short tube ride up to Big Ben and had a wonder round, with a beautiful view of the London Eye but then it was time to eat before I wasted away on the bridge. We headed for Leicester Square, looking for some where in the sun to eat, we choose a restaurant called Chiquitos- Mexican Grill where we had the most amazing quesadillas EVER, I still dream about them now.
Lastly, we headed for Tower Hill, looked around the castle and had a cute little ice-cream by the pier. We headed over the bridge towards Borough Market which I suggest making sure you have your phone map set to walking rather than driving before you start walking the driving route but even still, totally worth the walk, the market is filled with fantastic food stalls with literally ever culture of food and awesome bars set up.
Where are you best spots for sight-seeing? Let me know below in the comments and don't forget to follow my social media pages!
